You would think the DR would put these Haitians on a pedestal for looking out. They used them and shipped them back to where they came from smh... Shame on them CAC dikk sucking b*stards...

But then the Haitians took over DR

Dominican Independence, Feb 27, day celebrates independence from Haiti, not Spain

why did the haitians "took over"

Since Haiti was much more powerful economically & militarily, the Dominican generals thought it would be in their best interest to join forces with Haiti under one government. Haitian president Jean Pierre Boyer (a mulatto) had different plans though

From 1821-1822 Boyer basically went through the Dominican Republic with his soldiers and forcefully took over the country city by city. Once he got to Santo Domingo (Dominican capital), the Dominican generals said fukk it and let him take over

Over the next 20 years Dominicans were heavily taxed by the Haitian government and their economy was in shambles. Eventually the Dominicans were tired of the Haitian government and went to war with them for their independence.

@midwesthiphop @loyola llothta

Why y'all talking about old shyt?

How bout we discuss the merits of the law and the effects it will have

This is like the third or fourth time laws like this have been passed they are pretty much unenforceable in DR sure a couple hundred people a year might get sent back but several thousand more will still come in

its the same with the Mexican border here but the same dudes who will talk about "we gotta keep the Mexicans out" of our borders, will cry if DR enforces there

BTW at the end of the day mass deportation never works

1 small island with two nations never works, what we need is a consolidation of the island but that will never happen in our life times

So how many nikkas are going to vacation in the DR while they violently depart Haitians (but really probably the darkest people in the country because how you going to tell the difference between some Haitians and Dominicans)? Spending any money is the DR is like going on vacation in apartheid South Africa.

I had a trip planned with my college homies to there in august. It was a vacation i been looking forward to for awhile having visited DR. some years ago for a wedding. Beautiful country, cheap, great food but dead ass, im canceling it. This is disgusting.

Looking like vacationing in Nazi Germany if they start putting people in camps :francis:

Plus, how is Haiti responsible for taking in people that have never actually lived there or born there. The article hasn't touched on that part. So they get 200K Dominicans of Haitian descent then take them to the border..now what?? I assume Haiti would just accept them, but they aren't obligated. Sickening....I feel like they are doing this to get control of homes and land occupied by these people.

nikkas won't admit it here but DR has a huge problem with racism. My dad is Charlie Murphy black and was made fun of and fukked with all of his youth. I think it played a huge part in him raising me and my sisters. He would always tell us that we were black, black is beautiful and be proud of it. My mom told me stories of him beefing with her brothers because he caught them squeezing my nose as a kid to "fix" my nose :snoop:

This shyt with the Haitians isn't a surprise to me at all. :francis:
