Prior to 2010, DR offered birthright citizenship. That was amended in 2010. Which led to the stripping of citizenship in 2013. Which led us to where we are today.
So they are going backwards:wtf:?

If they want to get rid of some of the riff raff, just find ways like they do here. Why would you just kick out everyone?

shyt seems like some shyt nikkas from the country would do. Country meaning rural. It sounds like some uneducated, backwoods, bama shyt, disguised as being intellectual.

being born in DR only makes u a citizen if documentation is filed. idk whats so difficult to understand about this. they arent deporting them if they have documentation. when my mother was born in DR in 1963, she didnt get her birth certificate or paperwork in order for years. when my father married her and tried to bring her to the states with him, she had trouble. even though she was dominican born to dominican parents who were born to dominican parents.
So they never changed the laws for this dumb shyt?

To me it sounds like a hustle. Pay for paperwork, and you're a citizen, even though you have generations that lived there:ohhh:

I didn't know D.R. was that fukked up systematically. Yeah, I knew about its history, but I just assumed they changed things like we did here. I guess not.

Nobody is trying to paint DR as a perfect paradise. We have problems like everywhere else.

Of course, but that some like con artists shyt. At least be slick with it. I always say, the way a government(state or federal) is ran, tells you how the average people think, because they either allow it, or are to beatdown to fight the laws. Anytime I look at a state, I always research the police, its laws, then I look at the people who live there.

That doesn't seem like an accurate way to paint a picture of a country's people but do u.

Come on, I'm not dissing Dominicans, but if your country is doing foul shyt like that, you either fight for a change, or you are just too tired to do it, for whatever reason, or you agree with the laws. I don't want to be in an environment like that.

I'm not just referring to D.R., there are places like that here, and I would not give my money to those places. When I do have to go there, I'm extremely cautious. Why would I want to live in a place that doesn't deal with justice?
