But I just don't see what's wrong with the process exactly. Why can't the DR have strong immigration policy? The Bahamas does. The US does. Most European countries do.
Documentation is necessary.

When Dominicans actively identify as anything other than Black or African, yeah, I would say racism is at stake. By all means pretend this isn't effecting actual Afro-Dominicans as well.
I'd imagine apartheid South Africa or Rhodesia also had rights to their policies? What the Dominican Republic is doing can be considered a crime against humanity.
Hard to get documents when you've been discriminated against for hundred of years.
What are you talking about? Most Dominicans are black people in color.
This is about immigration, not race.
So Haiti can change their law but the DR can't?
They don't have to be stateless. Haiti can play a role in helping them get their necessary documents to apply for citizenship or visas

@gonzo8402 Cuba is probably the most Afrocentric latin American country, they honored Lumumba three days after he was assassinated, took in Haitians with open Arms, also helped South Africa during apartheid helping liberate Angola.
Jamaica is afrocentric as well, home to one of the most known leaders in history (Marcus Garvey) not to mention Rastarafi being tied with connecting to your African roots.
Colombia embraces their African roots strongly, from their dance, culture, music and K.O.S. they know who they are.
Haiti needs no explanation, first free republic.
