"Contingent elections have occurred only three times in American history: in 1801, 1825, and 1837.

The three past contingent elections were held by the outgoing Congress, since, at the time, congressional terms ended / began on March 4, the same day as presidential terms. In 1933, the 20th Amendment moved the congressional term end / start date to an earlier date in the year than the new January 20 presidential term end / start date. The amendment reduced the length of lame-duck sessions of Congress. As a result, the contingent elections are conducted by the incoming Congress.[2] "

" The 20th Amendment has it that Trump, or any other lame-duck leader, loses his presidential mandate January 20 at noon, and, if he tries to stick around after that, the very guard once tasked with protecting the nation's top officeholder now has to evict him. "

"If no president has been chosen by January 20, 2021, then the statutory line of succession begins, which means the Speaker of the House (Nancy Pelosi ) ascends to the presidency. The Vice President's term similarly ends at noon on January 20."

"The Electoral College must cast its ballots on the first Monday after the second Wednesday in December. This year, that’s December 14. If disputed state vote totals are not resolved by six days prior to that date, Congress can step in, under the 1887 Electoral Count Act."

Trump's term would automatically run out if there was no election (or if it was "official" that he lost it would end). What we have now is a disputed election.

Hate reading (but love smoking) brehs ... :hhh:

Think January comes before December brehs ... :hhh:

The electoral votes are coming in on the 6th of DEC .. and Bidens won like 307 with 270 needed ...

And Trumps team filed 200 cases of voter fraud in the last few days of election ... 0 stuck , except for one letting observers come closer to watch poll counting ..

Trump is running out of money for legal fees and his legal team is Guliani, Donnie Jr. and his gf .. :mjlol: The worst team ever ..

:wow: I know some may dismiss this due to Trump’s lack of evidence but I be dammed. Trump isn’t conceding this anytime soon which could be a cause of concern for voters whom supported Biden. It’s long long time till January so anything can happen.

As much as we’ve been talking about a civil war, I can’t imagine any scenarios where a hostile president could hold the whitehouse. He’s going to need a change of venue and I don’t know where that could be since this is isn’t the 1860s.

Nothing you said changes anything I said. The facts are the facts. I didn't say anything would happen but the fact is that it is part of the process.

Facts are immune to typing, gifs, guesswork and pointless juelzing
