Need GB to lose tonight so either them or Seattle can be eliminated next week.

Man I just wanna :salute: this whole team, from Mr. Blank who from the beginning of the year said he wanted three rookie to start and has gotten that and then some (Deion Jones, Keanu Neal, Devondre Campbell and Austin Hooper). Mr. Blank set the tone

Gotta salute the coaching staff, Kyle for getting over himself and doing what he needed to do to better connect with Matt. DQ, love him or hate him, has got the guys believing in each other and in his program. Fast and Physical, #Brotherhood, etc he won't win COY but definitely deserves votes, he has changed the whole culture. Raheem Morris and Bryan Cox also deserve a ton of praise for the jobs they did as WR Coach and Bryan Cox with the DL. Great job as a staff

Dimitroff & Co for drafting those rookies who I have mentioned, for bringing in big free agents like Alex Mack, Mohammed Sanu, but also finding guys like Taylor Gabriel off the waiver wire who have been huge for us. Freeney was an underrated but huge get for us as well

Matt for being an MVP level QB and raising his game, Devonta back to back 1,000 yard seasons, Tevin staying healthy, cutting down the fumbles and being an all around play maker, Julio being Julio, Vic Beasley taking that next step into being an elite pass rusher. Just so many people made this 11-5 season possible, :salute: to everyone involved.

We're 2 wins away from the Super Bowl brehs, man what a time :wow:

There's a different energy about this team. Blank deserve a lot of credit for his leadership. He wanted a championship team and that mentality trickled down. Gotta love it. And what's crazy is we have a squad that can contend for the next few years.

We scored as many points this season as the 99 Rams and we know how their season ended up :wow:

4 straight wins, 5 outta 6. Too often we as fans focus on the negative but this team really deserves credit for how theyve handled themselves this season. It was doom and gloom (and I was particularly negative on this team coming into the season) but they've done a great job. I wanted to make sure I acknowledged them for a job well done

What is encouraging to me is that this defense is very close to being a good overall defense. The LB corp is no longer an issue and the secondary is pretty much set with both Collins and Poole looking like solid contributors. The main area of need is defensive line and they'll no doubt address it. Once that happens, this team will be scary.

Falcons were 6-2 this season in games they lost Time Of Possession
Seahawks, Chargers, Eagles were the game they lost

I'm mainly listing this stat because I'm sure teams in the playoffs will
play ''Keep Away'' with the ball to slow down Matt and keep the offense out of rhythm

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn said star pass-rusher Vic Beasley Jr., who suffered a left shoulder injury in Sunday's regular-season finale against the New Orleans Saints, will practice during this playoff bye week.

Beasley told reporters he felt his shoulder pop out of place and thought it was his labrum, the same injury he played through last season in his right shoulder. Quinn expressed little concern about Beasley's injury without sharing specifics of what Monday's MRI might have revealed.

"He did great and came back into the game and finish the game, so no limitations for him moving forward," Quinn said. "It was sore, but he did a really good job."

Asked if Beasley would practice this week, Quinn said, "He will, yep."

Beasley finished as the NFL's sack leader with 15.5, two ahead of reigning Super Bowl MVP Von Miller.

"We're all pumped for him," Quinn said of Beasley. "One of the byproducts of that is his ability to get the ball. So for him to have the forced fumbles this year that he did [six] -- between he and Keanu Neal -- that's been a real factor."

In other injury news, Quinn said tight end Austin Hooper, recovering from a sprained MCL, and wide receiver Taylor Gabriel, who suffered a foot injury, will return to practice this week. The Falcons will have a couple of light practices on Wednesday and Thursday and will get an extended break starting Friday. Some of the other banged up players to monitor this week include wide receiver Julio Jones (toe) and cornerback Robert Alford (knee).

As the NFC's No. 2 seed, the Falcons will await their second-round opponent -- possibly the No. 3 seed Seattle Seahawks, who face the No. 6 seed Detroit Lions on Saturday (8:15 p.m. ET).

The Falcons will host a divisional playoff game on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Georgia Dome (4:35 p.m. ET). It will be the highest remaining seed after the wildcard round, with top-seeded Dallas hosting the lowest-remaining seed on Jan. 15 (4:40 p.m. ET).

The Packers and Giants are the No. 4 and No. 5 seed and square off in Green Bay on Sunday (4:40 p.m. ET).
