Why would Biden back out when he has the highest chances of beating Trump already?

It's fukking July. If anyone thinks someone is going to swoop in, especially since campaign spending laws are tricky and Biden's money might only be able to be spent on him (he got a LOT of funds), and make a measurable difference, they lost the plot. The Biden pick is stability. I and many others don't give a shyt about a speech. They rolled Reagan's movie star senile ass out there, Biden can be "Weekend at Bernie'd" to block these Republicans. If you are at all comfortable with what Biden has done thus far, no reason to swap.
Trump losing to someone else would more be a product of scandals and self sabotage. Nobody with cache is ready to step in 4 months before the election and get traction.

the only democrat with the best chance of beating trump is biden. as the election draws near, and more people come to grips with what a second trump presidency horrifically portends, the outcome of the election will be obvious.
