#predictable sitcom plots

Main character or supporting character befriends a cool new kid at school. Said new kid introduces character to cigarette or gives him a marijuana joint. The characters old friend/family member finds out, they argue. Time passes character realizes they made a mistake and ditches or gets ditched by the Cool kid, character apologizes to his old associate they make up. Replace weed with: alcohol, stealing, etc..


Moral of the episode: Drugs are bad mmmkay.

The Wayan Bros episode is the first thing that popped up in my head

- somebody gets robbed, and somebody has to convince them that they have to move on with life

-The season finale involves something getting either pregnant, shot or proposed to.

A relatively light disagreement leads to animosity between two characters who normally always get alone. After being away from each for awhile, they both realize the error of their ways, makeup, and go back to being friends again.

-character gets hurt doing something they weren't supposed to do. Spends the majority of the episode trying to hide it from their family. No one knows Until the doctor calls the house phone because the character left their jacket in the er.

- it's the main characters' birthday...but it seems like everybody forgot!

Character THINKs they have lost their wedding ring and spend damn near the whole episode trying to hide their hand from the spouse. By the end of the episode the character finds out that the spouse knew about the ring the whole time.

Let me add on to the bolded. The family and friends of the main character secretly invite someone from his/her past as a surprise, completely ignorant to the fact that the main character and person from the past have issues.

" What's he/she doing here?"

Characters visiting in-laws for the holidays. Either the mother-in-law doesn't like the wife or the father-in-law can't stand the husband for some reason. They get into a one-on-one situation and get along with each other by the end of the episode.
