It’s a two way street. If your schedule starts tough then It’s inevitably going to be easier down the stretch which. Might work out better in your favor if you’re middle of the pack heading its post asb and have a favorable schedule:

Rocket schedule was tough to start last season too. We also started 0-3. Eventually playing tougher competition molds you and makes you more competitive. We stated off with back to back against sac, Denver three times k the first month, lakers three times in the first month and half . Ended up winning half those matchups.

Monty was two steps backwards. It’s hard to come in and change the culture completely overnight but it’s even harder for Bickerstaff and the pistons because Cade has to run the show and he’s looking more like a combo guard than guard. Hes a bucket but that combo guard starts to come out and show its ugly head when the game is tight and get away because he seems to start committing them turnovers right before the opposition pulls away. And he’s committing turnovers at an alarming rate this season.

And the JB can’t figure out how to alwmthe defense better which is suppose to be his calling card. I mean nigguhs are just escorting the opps into the paint at this point

Team has to just keep pushing. Schedule has been tough, but the process/operation for the team is much improved. Just can't let the results impact how they're going about playing.

His turnovers will come down just as they did last season when he fell in with a lot of other star primary ball handlers who all avg around 3 turnovers a game

Yep. Cade is the absolute least of my worries. New teammates, offense etc. All that shyt will level off. Bigger issue is a real backup pg to steady things when they start to get wild, because the to's happen in bunches whenever defense ramps up. And also if Stew and Duren could do the fusion dance to combine into one offensively and defensively capable player that understands defensive rotations and can actually catch a ball, we'd be in business.

I dunno, I think Maxey had his worse game(one if his worse) offensively last year against Detroit.

But yeah the first step towards becoming a competitive squad is being able to opportunistically beat a team when they’re load managing against you. Because as a generally perceived lesser squad, coaches goin typically circle the date of your game to rest their stars

Good teams have multiple primary ball handlers and offense initiators. The pistons have Cade. At this time i wouldn’t put Ivey in that category. He need some help to take some pressure off him. Beef stew gotta get back to how he played before he got paid. Duren is just too lost on defense.

Hopefully once the schedule lighten up and they get some time under their belts the team can get some wins.
