I don't see the point with still trying to keep tariq innocent, away from the game when he legit has a body under his belt.

Tasha worrying about ghost getting help not thinking much on what killing someone does to the psyche of your own son.

Terry the lawyer is irritating as hell. He has mastered the creep look though.

I disagree with some of you all assessment of ghost as far as a character. I feel like omari hardwick and naturi Naughton acting has both leveled up this season and they are personally carrying the show from a acting perspective. As far as how they make dumb decisions, etc as been stated the show is not supposed to do what you think they should do and since season 1, it's the same formula, a bunch of dumb decisions leading to ghost being in over his head and by seasons end him finding a way out of the mess he done made. This season appears no different.

The only huge holes I recognize in this show, and what keeps it a level below others is the dynamic between police and criminals. But the wire had police behind the writing of the show, so that is why that show was more genuine. This show is more genuine of the emotional attachments to characters seeing as the writer is a drama novelist. So she knows how to create a love story, but she weak in the action department. I would recommend getting some law enforcement involved in the writing to get a genuine feel of the moves police make vs how criminals respond.

Kendrick played a great crack head. Should get other roles.

They dragging this dre thing too long. Something needs to happen major on that front because it's losing its impact on the storyline.

I hear you and this is a fair criticism. To be honest this is what happens on the 5th season of a drug related show. Drug shows don’t and can’t last that long. At this point a main character has to die.

Nah I don’t think they have to die. But they do have to evolve. They can’t keep making the same mistakes they’re making in season 1 when you’re doing longform storytelling. Unless you’re telling a show about kids or teenagers then it’s okay because it makes sense for them to keep making the same mistakes.

Raina’s death should be the inciting incident for more changes, like the one ghost looks like he’s trying to make. But he’s been trying to make that change for five years now.

The stuff with Tariq is the best example of what I’m talking about. One episode he has an emotional breakthrough with his moms and seems to grow up a bit, finally understanding why his parents kept their secrets. Then this episode he’s right back to his old complaints. Why bother even showing that then?

Edit: my last comment on Power this week. I keep reading some of the comments that all this (since season 1) has taken place within the last 4-6 months? LOL if this is true, wow. The writers and producers must not know how to storyboard. This is basic film 101. Some of the court cases we have seen on Power easily take up to 4-6 months, AT LEAST. But who am I kidding, let the fukkery continue.
