The costume and Zord were trash. They needed something that looked memorable. That seems to be the problem with these Kaiju mecha fighter films being translated.

I finally saw the movie and i was rightyou mean Zack was the "cornball" brotha? He was like Eddie Winslow with dance moves. Teaching kids how to defend themselves with HIS version of capoeira. What's not to like about that?

THere are plenty of black shows, from serious brains/brawn characters like the Morris Chestnut cop show, and the goofy fat dad like Black-ish which shows the range of bm portrayals.

He was the best character but it just means everyone else sucked. BAD. Nobody cared about the yellow, black, and pink ranger except the the girl's looks. They added nothing. But Billy was the Jar Jar Binks. Yost's Billy was never a bafoon. He was never comedic relief. This Billy was. They really changed Billy to be the goofy Urkel-ish nerd, not the stoic geek like David Yost's Billy was. He didn't go all the way bafoon like Finn but he was obviously the comedic relief.
