Elizabeth banks damn near stole the show as Rita. I was surprised at how dark they let this get while still maintaining the fun power ranger vibe. They managed to give depth and character to characters who never had it on tv :russ:

The sequel will be and should be even better and I can't wait to see it. When they finally morphed and got in their zords and those familiar chords started it was like I was 9 again. Very very on point flick and :salute: to everyone involved. I'll take 5 more of these please

The dying yellow ranger I think was a tribute to thuy

Great review. I think the movie was for a new era, which is why you saw those things. We are fans from way back so we could tell the difference between certain features and such.

Yup. go see it. Probably the best movie this weekend imo.

Just got back from seeing it


Movie was really good. Really really good... I was presently surprised at how much ai liked it.

The beginning feels like a totally different movie and the characters did their thing in their own right.

Then the middle when it started developing into a Power Rangers movie was still good. Reminded me of Chronicle when they first started discovering their powers a lil bit.

It didn't go full cheesy mode until the end, where it brought in that classic power rangers cheesy feeling. It wasn't bad though, it was actually kinda funny. It went straight back to the TV show days, with epic poses, rambling during fights, corny jokes, over-the-top fights, etc.

This is a good, modern remake with a lil bit more realism but still had that power rangers feeling
