I really enjoyed it.

All the nostalgia you want, you GET. The actors who played the Rangers were all REALLY good, damn RJ Cyler just may be the best Ranger ever.He was hilarious, had heart and I feel really embodied what the fans feel for the franchise. Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Banks were really good. Cranston bought a dramatic tone that I REALLY wasn't expecting and Elizabeth Banks did the complete reverse with a really over the top villain that actually worked for me, lol.

The story was straightforward and what you'd expect. The best part of the film was actually the build-up which is what people seemed to be concerned about. It really gave the Rangers a real backstory and a reason for them to come together.

I really like the high school scenes, they really used that element well.

The geek-out moments? Fan-tas-tic. Which leads on to my criticisms. The geek out moments were so good, it leaves you wanting more. Could you imagine leading up to this film and all its anticipations, that what would arguably be the biggest problem is not enough action (as Power Rangers)? One of the key parts of the original series would be the...

Threat arrives >>> the un-morphed Rangers engage and hold their own for a little while >>> they morph, fight and then the big bad threat arrives >>> Zords fight

I hoped they would have stuck to that to a degree because there wasn't enough of the kids fighting when shyt was at stake.

Overall, it's a solid movie man. It has its flaws but very easily solved in a possible sequel.

Regardless of the movie's quality. Do yall think they can get it to break even? The budget is 105 million but with BATB and the critics it might struggle here.

They might have to rely on those international numbers to help them out.
That budget is ridiculous for this property, then they've been advertising the hell out of it so you know thats probably 100mil itself, Krispy Kreme probably takes a lot of the costs out but this is a huge gamble.

They're betting on it probably doing modest numbers in the states but killing it around the world

Movie was way better than i expected, not great or anything but PR never was great - it's a perfect "update" for the Power Rangers and basically reflects how the target audience has changed.
