I'm going to base this off cartoons that were on the air, at the time, not cartoons that were made in the 90's because we didn't see the bulk of them until the end of the decade at the earliest. Based of that American cartoons and it's not even close. WB was in it's prime better cult cartoons and a lot of the 80's cartoons were still in rotation. I'll give you a short list.

Batman TAS
Batman/Superman Adventures
X-Men
GI Joe
EXO Squad
Iron Man
Spider-Man
Fantastic Four
Incredible Hulk (don't sleep)
The Simpsons
South Park
Family Guy

and I could go on and on.

Now 80's anime>>>>>>>>>>>>>

90's anime. It was better then because it was only a core group of fans, and not the lamo-Weebos that we have now.

Macross Plus
Gunbuster
Ninja Scroll
Guyver
Ranma 1/2
Lodoss war
Patlabor
Street Fighter 2
Akira
Vampire hunter D
Fist of the North Star
Legend of the Overfiend
orgus 2
Battle Angel
Area 88
There were so many back then, and it also seemed fresh.

Sci fi Channel and MTV played anime back in those days. I had usually saw them by the time they aired. Robot Carnival was frequently on rotation.

the bold are all 80's..seems like you're more of an 80's anime fan. i'm talking about animation that came out in the 90's, not just stuff you've seen in the 90's. a lot of folks in this thread got that confused

but man, patlabor 2 the movie was one of the best mecha-related anything i've ever seen :lawd:

they were officially dubbed and released in america during the 90s .

ronin warriors was a pretty cool anime the was shown on TV.

I forgot to mention Vision of Escaflowne. That was really good. Then fox tried to air it on American TV. I was shocked. Escaflowne was full of graphic violence and homosexuality. It must have been chopped up to pieces.

Bruh, you and your classmates did not make up the majority, or it wouldn't of gotten cancelled :yeshrug:
It got cancelled right before it blew up... does that make sense?
And that shyt would come on WB like at 8am on every third sunday after leap year

Like, the shyt wasn't on WB during primetime kid cartoon watching hours :hula:

Cockmeat is right though DBZ really belongs in the 2000's as far as Americans are concerned, few people watched it in the WB run, and unless you were into the underground anime, only a few hundred people bought those shytty sub tapes.
