This is some diabolical shyt. The GOP would have to cut a deal with Dems, and those GOP members would get put on blast by these obstructionist Republicans and lose primaries in eighteen months to complete nutbars.
I'm beginning to think that this is a concerted effort to purge the right-wingers who appear to be moderates and to replace them with openly crazy Republicans. They already ran every moderate out of the House. Then, they ran the crazy right-wingers who dared to uphold the Constitution and vote to impeach Trump. McCarthy and his ilk are next.

Democrats shouldn't make a deal. They should let this continue to show the country how fukking dumb these people are.
If push comes to shove, Moderate Republicans doesn't have to vote for Jefferies. All they need is some folks to not show up to vote in some of these rounds. Still unlikely tho Jefferies become speaker but that would be epic.
