It's laughable to suggest the Dems must do specific thing X to shore up support for the next cycle while ignoring the things A-W the GOP has done/doing that voters have explicitly rejected time and again.
The GOP has held the gavel in the house for almost 9 months and what exactly have they done with it? What are the specific policies they are going enact in order to lure back enough Biden Republicans to actually win an election?
A significant amount of Black people, Hispanics and young people are suddenly swing to the GOP because... Biden is old? Someone born as a boy wants to join the girls swim team? Kamala can't dance?
There is no logic to what is getting passed around as convential wisdom around here.
All I know is that talking about trans folks is tiresome. Trans rights have majority support in the Democratic party and that's likely to grow as younger voters age into the party.
If that ain't for you, the Dems probably won't be for you, either. Your best bet is to vote for Huey Long-style Republicans who will be economic populists against minority rights over in that party to try to shift it to where you want it economically while still upholding your values on trans rights.
But the party is going where it's going, so be realistic about that and be pragmatic in your response to it.
