I get his point but why bring that shyt up especially in this era. We just saw Cosby and Dr. Dre get dragged behind some old shyt and though it was a valid point why bring it up now not even 24 hours after he won just to make a point? This is the reason athletes and most people really don't fukk with him. He tries to grand stand too damn much but you right about him fumbling the apology read. It was so perfect and he was so shook he ended up cursing and flaming out hard. I made my first reply right after it happened so the fumbling was poetic justice.
I dunno...It popped in my head when they panned to his wife when he won, I was like "oh yeah, Kobe had that shyt too..." while all the other #metoo video clips & statements were being made. I imagine Dan had the same thought about it being interesting him winning in that environment regardless of guilt/innocence and how differently he'd be received had that stuff come to light in this climate vs years ago. I think it'd be a topic worthy of bringing up/discussing for a second.
But then Dan makes it a beautiful mess and it's much better than the intended talk ever would have been.
