Boss man coming back in 2002 or late '01.. random as fukk. Came back and was in a couple tag matches with Booker and looked fukking washed as fukk :mjlol:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Bossman pin the Rock that year as well? (was definitely early 02).

They were doing too much with that, it was around this time they had a six pack challenge on an episode of smackdown where he beat all the top guys in a row....in their signature/specialty matches no less. :russ:

I would suggest anyone who hasn’t seen that episode or need a refresher of that SD to go back and watch. Basically the Triple H Showcase, 5 or 6 matches and he had his full entrance for EVERY match :laff::laff::laff:

Well to be fair they did make that brain fart of a feud entertaining and plus its not like Al Snow couldn't handle being in a feud with the rock. As much as people like to make fun of him Al Snow is actually a good worker.

But man :mjlol: were they trying to sabotage the rock or what? that's when he was the hottest thing in wrestling. Yet they also had him jobbing to the bossman. Talk about perseverance. That's why the Rock is the GOAT.

Seem that they wanted to job the Rock out hoping he would lose momentum because they didn't want to put a black face as the face of the company.. They didn't expect Rock to catch fire like he did going because they had Austin set and stone as being the face so they turned him heel. The shyt was cool but fans kept cheering Rock and wanted him to be the face so they had no choice but to turn him back baby face months later.

Then even with Austin gone.. They still wanted to job him out thinking it was going to work out.. Even had Paul White and Bossman main eventing PPVs and shyt.. They couldn't deny Rock no more and when he became the face.. The company did their biggest year ever.. Irony

I like billy gunn and all but having him fade the rock was no Bueno. Should have just put him up against Kane or someone else maybe Jericho a little later

This time period is weird
After fully loaded 99 Hhh becomes the main contender to the belt
The rock feuds with billy Gunn, has random raw matches with lower carders like gangrel and edge
When Jericho debuted he was supposed to feud wit rock and go over the rock but Russo left the company
Is put in a tag team wit foley then almost has to feud with a heel Val Venis and a heel Al snow

HHH was in the title picture feud. To me or seemed like they was tryna get the rock out the way to get hhh over as a main eventer.

back then they had Shawn Michaels injured and smacking crack in the back in Vince’s ear and kept telling him how much HhH should be in the main event instead of the rock
