This picture of brother Sean (left) and Michael (right) McQuilken was taken by their sister in Sequoia National Park in 1975 moments before lighting struck where they were standing. Hair standing on its end along with tingling skin could be a sign of an imminent lightning strike.

Both Michael and his sister were unharmed by the lightning strike. Sean spent 6 months unconscious and suffered 3rd degree burns. Sean committed suicide in 1989 due to being unable to get over this tragic event and the injuries he got from it.

The murder of Sylvia Likens was a child murder case that occurred in Indianapolis, Indiana in October 1965. Likens, aged 16, was held captive and subjected to increasing levels of child abuse and torture by her caregiver, Gertrude Baniszewski, many of Baniszewski's children and their neighborhood friends. The abuse lasted approximately three months before Likens ultimately succumbed to a combination of her injuries and malnourishment on October 26.

She was fired in 2012 when the school discovered her true identity.[169] Paula reportedly lives in a small town in Iowa. She is married and has two children.[170] The baby daughter to whom she had given birth while being tried in 1966, and whom she named after her mother, was later adopted.

The murder charges initially filed against Gertrude Baniszewski's second-eldest daughter, 15-year-old Stephanie, were ultimately dropped after she agreed to turn state's evidence against the other defendants.[153] Although prosecutors did re-submit their case against Stephanie before a grand jury on May 26, 1966, the decision to later prosecute her in a separate trial never materialized.[171] Stephanie Baniszewski assumed a new name and became a school teacher. She later married and has several children. Stephanie Serikstad currently lives in Florida.[172]"

Hart Family SUICIDE
On March 26, 2018, Jennifer and Sarah Hart committed a murder-suicide where they murdered their six adopted children and themselves by driving off a cliff in Mendocino County, CA.

The women began their relationship at the university they both attended. On Facebook, Jennifer stated that the women were initially closeted and faced homophobia once they publicly outed themselves, prompting their moves. They moved to Alexandria, Minnesota, in 2004, were subsequently residents of West Linn, Oregon, and an area in Clark County, Washington and had six adopted children during their lives.

Prior to the adoptions, they adopted a 15 yr old girl and brought her to therapy but soon after the therapist said the Harts weren’t a good fit for her. Abigail, Hannah Jean, and Markis Hart were all adpoted from Colorado County, TX. In June 2008 they then adopted Ciera Majia, Devonte Jordan, and Jeremiah.

Prior the deaths, the kids suffered abuse from Jennifer and Sarah. Hannah was seen with brusies on her arms, Abigail had injuries on her back and stomach, etc. Before the death Sarah googled searches about Benadryl, no kill shelters, and the nature of drowning. Toxicology reports show Jennifer was over the alcohol limit and Sarah and two of the children had diphenhydramine in their systems.
