Turns out 99% of the entire global white population has never owned a slave. We are all slaves white people and black people. And low income white people fall for rap music too.

In fact, the government uses DISPLACED AGGRESSION.

Instead of fighting your OPPRESSORS, they lie to you to displace your aggression.

Years ago, low income white men wanted to revolt. They didnt know what to do or who to blame for their problems. The US Sent them overseas to kill "their problems," much like they still do. The ones that stayed in USA were told black people were the source of their problems, so they displaced their anger on them by joining the KKK or other racist extremist groups.

The government wants you to blame white people (or anyone different) and not them. They want you to blame your neighbor and not your master. And it goes for people of all color, this is not a game of color, except when it comes to dividing us with the media.

It's not me vs you or black vs white. It's us vs them but they've got us fighting over bullshyt.

You are part of the problem.

Either you are too young, or just being willfully ignorant and don't know your own history. I suspect you DO KNOW and are just another disinformation agent placed here to deflect from real discussion. :patrice:

Whoever the fukk you are :camby:

How things are in our society and the world today, all YOU can really do is TRY and educate the lil ones and the ones who don't know any better. Volunteer and at local rec or boys club, school, coach, get involved within your community or a community in crisis. Try and spark that fire inside all our younger black brothas n sistas to show them they are GREATER and that there is more to this life than whats being portrayed in hip hop and the media right now. Educate them on how we are marked for death, and how to deal with the police the best way you can in order to survive.

As far as music, put em up on shyt they've never been exposed to, but do it in way where you are not talking down on them. I just put some 16 year olds on a Marvin Gaye song they had NEVER heard in their lives and they loved it. I know it may sound simple but damn, that's just something little that my pops would do with me. Some probably may have NEVER experienced or never had a father, uncle, or older brother to put em on like that, you'd be surprised that shyt goes a long way.

Yeah shyt ain't what it used to be music wise, but WE/BLACK FOLKS all can do our part to help our youngins and try n save them, not just through the music. Cause if we don't look out for each other, who the fukk will?

So you're a white man who is aware of social constructs put into place by your people and other enlightened ones and you're telling me they're excuses

And I should just lift myself up by the boot straps?

Correct?

Incorrect. Your racism is showing by the way.

They aren't "my people". EVERYONE is my people. I got this fukked up way of looking at things... see.... I look at ALL HUMANS as equals. I know, crazy concept, right?! You shouldn't call me a white man cuz I'm just a man, homie.

Malcolm X had a quote about that; you should look at him as a man and not a black man, white man, brown man or red man. (I paraphrased this, his quote was way more elegantly worded).

Aside from this post, be honest with me, what have YOU personally done to reverse any of the ills of society? Have you done any community work on social or race issues??

Edit - Only reason I got defensive is cuz you lumped me in with the powers of this country only cuz of my skin color. That's pretty racist... and you don't even realize it probably. I come from a working class family and none of my family are government workers or CEO's of corporations. So I have nothing in common wit these "crackers".

It should be just as much a focus. Our people are always willing to blame whites, but rarely look within and accept accountability. The relationship is symbiotic, and the artist as much to blame as the corporation.

So you subscribe to the idea that white racism is based on how black people "act".

Verse Three:

nikkaz are in a state of nothingness
Hopelessness, lifelessness
If you're in range I hope you hear this
And try to change this, cause it's disatrous
Who gets the most loot, who gets bust?
Dollar bill y'all, is the god we trust
THe days blow by like dust
Even Men of Steel rust
We're out here acting ridiculous
When, only we can save us
Mentally enslave us, for little or nothing kill our neighbors
Animalistic, caniballistic, behavior
Look to the sky for your savior
He won't save ya, he didn't save your forefathers
Why bother, brothers? You must discover
The power of self, know thyself, or find thyself
Hating thyself, killing thyself
While he collects the wealth that you sit back and murder for
Ain't the devil happy

Op has a point

Before they will kill you they have to assassinate your character and image before the world first. Character and image assassination is why some fools feel if you shop lift or talk back to a cop you put yourself in a position to be killed. It's also why there are unwritten 2 different set of rules. 1 for blacks 1 for whites.

But those companies understood that when they were handing out they million dollar contracts. They knew the rappers they were financing were willing participants to the death of the community.

It's no coincidence the same guys who have stock in privatizing prisons also have stock in the music industry and some cable networks.

During Ferguson Uprising for Mike's unjust execution, all I could listen to was Pac, Dead Prez, Nas, Marvin

Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Rage Against The Machine, and Saul Williams. Basically, anything soulful and militant

that could resonate with my mind, as I raise my social awareness up tenfold, and get prepare for this war my

people have ahead. Throw mainstream music in the bushes, cuz that fluff will never tackle our real-life issues.

The soulless clowns aren't programmed like that, or have the guts to break the CACman chain:pacspit:

Look up a group called the vanguard Inc who are one of the largest stock holders in both the cca - which is the largest privatized prison corporations in america and the vanguard inc is the 3rd largest stock holder in Viacom and time warner.

So the same guys who earn billions from privatized prisons are the same guys who fund the biggest music distributors out here. And are also responsible for mtv, vhi, bet, etc.

Yep, get it that shyt go together.

Hmm..

Now we're getting somewhere. There's big money in filling the prison system. Wow..

I'm going to begin researching this now.

AND ... if you go read the literal 14th amendment, it frees the slaves BUT states you become a slave to the country if you are imprisoned for committing a crime. Real talk.

The reason I reacted the way I did was not because I felt you were disrespecting me. I salute you for stating your intention though cuz text loses all tonality and alotta context in what the true message is. I reacted the way I did because I wanted to drill in the point that I am an individual as we all are. You don't want people being judged for the way they dress, right? Well number one don't think that's a "black peoples" problem; it's an all peoples problem. Until you systemically rid yourself of the thoughts of stereotyping people into groups based on skin color, religious preference, sexual preference, location of existence in the world, or ANY other ARBITRARY factor, then racism and prejudice will neveeeerrrrrrrrr be truly gone.

Youuuu have to start with you. You can't change anyone unless you can change yourself. It's very hard to see yourself from an outside perspective. Truly, one of the most difficult things is to step outside of your own 2 eyed perspective of the world. There are WAY MORE important factors that UNITE every person and living thing on this planet than their are that separate us.

PS - I would also still like to read your response to my last post.

Correct?

Don't put words in my mouth breh. Yes I am aware of social constructs, road blocks, and systematically putting people under the thumb of money. I would never tell you some kind of condescending shyt like 'pull yourself up by your britches' or boot straps or however YOU want to word it. I don't subscribe to the thinking that everyone has an equal chance and it's all about effort. I am well aware of the hurdles and the ones I don't have to jump over simply because I look white (but am not fully white) I also believe that those who fight hard and smart will get ahead even when they are being pushed down. Some of the non-white people you tagged are perfect examples of that.

First and foremost who said they were excuses? I am simply pointing out that Hip Hop isn't to blame fully because the things you are angry with will be there with out with out Hip Hop. As far as your point that Hip Hop can reinforce negative stereotypes, sure. I agree with you it can. I also pointed out that if you want to change Hip Hop you can with money, collective buying power, and good ol fashioned support.

As far as fighting the entire system, you are aiming at Hip Hop. I am saying aim at capitalism. Not by yourself either, with others, who are tired of the buying and selling of cultures in this country.
