These books were so powerful back when. Imagination in full effect... Its wild when you think of how many ways of being/experiences no longer exist as options as they faded away only to be replaced by the ubiquity of tech.

Even the subtle aspect of teaching a jit that their actions had consequences was quite something, if you think about it. Like the moral of the story they added onto the end of every Inspector Gadget.

I used to read those shyts so systematically as a kid. Went through picking my choice until I got to an end, then steadily working backwards through every other possible alternate choice to read every other ending.
