Just because it happens at other institutions doesn’t make it right. We have to stop with that.
Also, when it happens at other institutions, it doesn’t affect accreditation or the overall welfare of the institution. HBCUs aren’t in a position to absorb misappropriated funds and continued scandals, and even if they were, why wouldn’t they want to be better than the status quo?
But do they represent the plight of the average Black American, no. I think because socioeconomic class is so intertwine with race that the biggest hurdle for blacks everywhere will be divorce it.
I respect your position 100 percent. But to be fair, DePaul has some pretty powerful alumni (https://offices.depaul.edu/secretary/board-of-trustees/Documents/Board_Trustees_110617.pdf), add that with the Catholic Church subsidies.
Kind of tough to say they’re on equal footing.
My breh's that are in and graduated from HUSL talking about it right now. Breh fukked up
but when someone on here says "athletes and students should go to the best college and not just cause its an HBCU" you get negged to oblivionThose are all experiencing issues in their own right. HBCU system really needs a revamp.
My LB was in class with him today. Said nikka was chillin![]()
The stunt is nasty....
Who's on Howard's Board? I'm curious....
The point was to show that DePaul has double Howard's enrollment and has raised less in endowment funds than Howard. So it was a nod to Howard because it appears that it's alumni actually comes through. But then you got goofys like this Tyrone dude that are granted fiscal oversight.
