Not really. Real nikkas know: HBCUs stay involved in fraud and embezzlement. This isn't new, and your grandparents have stories of mismanagement at these same schools.

i Feel you, but we can't out one side of our mouth talk about how we need our own institutions, then not give a fcuk about how they are ran or robbed because "white people do it too". I have to monitor this because it is prime hiring season and things like this are related at this time specifically to undermine the incoming class. Accusing financial aid fraud is an easy to get a college put on probation and unaccredited

Does that mean that if you try to apply for a job with a degree from Howard and they temporarily become unaccredited, your degree is meaningless

exactly.. where are the so-called and influential, powerful black elite that @ab.aspectus made a whole thread about? Where are their contributions to the dire financial situations faced by the HBCU's as a whole. But yet, they have the capital, political connections and influence to affect change supposedly. This is an example of what happens when there is not a collective concentration of power, minimal oversight, dependence on corporate sponsorship, lack of reinvesting in education, etc.
