Many of us are heartbroken at the stories of children being killed in McDonald’s drive-thrus by hood nikka culture due to senseless hood nikka violence.

Or stories like the 3 year old killed last year when dudes fired 150+ shots at a house here in Charlotte.

How many times have you found yourself disturbed by Black on Black violence, while simultaneously listening to/rapping along with that song that be like “yea you know who took that sh*t from you come get back in blood burr burr”?(just an example song but this question applies to any rap song that glorifies killing Black ppl).

You should use different phrasing than “black on black crime” since that is some rhetoric. Any time it’s used a big red flag flies up for me simply because of what it connotates and how it’s used.

Answering the question though: yes I listen to rap and am against young black men killing each other. For one I’m so I’m not really listening to a bunch of new ultra violent kids with very little rap skills.

What industries in America do you support with your dollar knowing all of the large industries were birthed from slave labor?

Is enjoying a steak “glorifying” horrible practices in the meat industry?

honestly, I don’t know but I think looking at one aspect of a person and then extrapolating that it concludes a definite or singular thing isn’t accurate.

I listen to a lot ignorant shyt, but I don’t understand how people see it as anything more than entertainment. I don’t walk away from a MCU movie and attempt to jump from building to building like I’m Captain America, I play violent video games, yet I don’t feel the need to go out and starting unloading on random people.

When the music is pushed as part of the culture it very much can. Alot of our youths think they have to fit the mold or live up to the ideals the music set. like that poster said above, rap came from the culture now it is the culture.
