You don't know anything, just making assumptions. Also, funny how you whined about me "faux-shaming" people in the same post you tried to insinuate I'm not a Black American.

Kiss my ass.

I know you are talking down to people -- cause they don't want to vote for your candidate -- while ignore the issues that are important to them.

And..I didn't know men liked their assed kissed. Should I stick my thumb in there too?

For those who prefer tweets and videos to text receipts:

In that last video from the part where he quotes himself from 1974 talking about how White politicians don't give a shyt about Black communities all the way to the end of the video where he's reeling off those stats about Black America right off the top of his head proves he fukks with this shyt.

Sandy Darity and other economist have already cleared this up with data and facts -- the only thing that can fix his is reparations - but the Bern doesn't support it.

You don't even know who "my candidate" is you are completely off base here.

I am making a pro-voter turnout argument. I don't care who people vote for specifically that is their choice, I'm only asking people to vote.

I think Steyer is the only one who can make a legitimate argument that has a legitimate agenda specific to black people. Which is why I would advise anyone who has a Black Agenda as their top priority, to support him vs sitting out.

Warren/Sanders are probably tier 2, they don't have a solid black agenda but are significant improvements over Trump. Some of their policies have already been mentioned in this thread.

If the Democrats are stupid enough to nominate a racist like Bloomberg, I don't blame you for going in a different direction.
Well, if Steyer is the only one that has produced black American specific policy, then you can’t say in other posts that other candidates have addressed the needs and wants of some these “no tangible, no vote” people. So far, Steyer is it.

I have an issue with you and others saying that it’s ok to go in another direction if Bloomberg is the pick. In my mind, it’s very hypocritical, as many of y’all will get on others for threatening not to vote, but come to find out, y’all have circumstances that would cause y’all not to vote as well. So, is your circumstance and reasoning better than those others who say they’re not voting? If you say you’re against people not voting, then you can’t turn around and say you won’t vote if Bloomberg is the candidate. Same goes for the Bernie or Bust people. They’ll get on others for not voting, yet will tell you they won’t vote if Bernie isn’t the candidate.

But under Trump I have become a home owner. Obama ain't do shyt for me, I mean even George Bush gave me an $800 check at least. Republic policies are better for our bank accounts. Dems policies are murder on our bank accounts.

Obama the reason You even have a job, post 2008 economic crash. :beli:

He’s just quoting his idiot leader Nasheed.

trump is fukking up America and its position in the world. He’s also turning the treasury into his personal piggy bank and literally ushering in fascism and people act as if it’s no big deal. Smh

The level of intellect amongst the US populace is shockingly low

They not even smart enough to get paid for supporting Trump openly. They wouldnt dare tell racist CACs to stay home and not vote.

Well, I'm sorry. I am too. I am just over people attacking Black Americans for being proactive and being involved in the political process -- and that includes vetting and choosing a candidate based on their needs, wants and issues. Issues that are important to them and their families.

Just causes some of these people have low-self esteem and are OK with being called "People of Color" and not getting addressed specifically -- while everyone else is -- and not getting an agenda when WE are the ones who deserve and need it the most -- than they can fukk off.

Leave Black Americans, ADOS alone -- let them pick the candidate they want, They will be voting -- they will be voting for the candidate that works for their vote -- and acknowledges and commits to them.

nikka, the LGBT community is around 5% of the population yet they get specific policies :mjlol:

No one is saying candidates have to just have policies for us, while not having policies for other groups. All we're saying is that they can still do M4A or other stuff, just have reparations and a Black agenda in addition to your other policies.

The Dems still need us though, this ain't just us saying that, their own news outlets are saying this(NBC News and others). So while they still need us, we're going to leverage that to get the policies we want and need.

They "need" us less and less as every year turns. Black people are becoming less and less of the population here. It only takes simple math to calculate what that means for black influence in politics. The fact that you nikkas think participating less is going to help us is just:mjcry:

They can never take us out -- and our influence will never leave. No matter what they may think.

Keep thinking the Black vote don't matter.

I said go in a different direction, which includes third party. I am not advocating not voting at all. There is a 0% chance I will vote for Bloomberg, but a 100% chance I will vote.

My problem with not voting at all is that it impacts the entire ballot. This is an assumption, but I'm guessing a significant percentage of people who are saying "no tangibles no vote" also are not voting in the down-ballot races, midterms, etc.

In 2018 we were able to get a historic number of black female judges elected here in Houston. Change at the local level has an impact too, and that cannot happen if you skip the entire ballot because you don't like any of the presidential options.

Sandy Darity and other economist have already cleared this up with data and facts -- the only thing that can fix his is reparations - but the Bern doesn't support it.

The racial wealth gap can obviously be reduced without reparations, as it's gone up and down in various points in history. A simple pro-poor, tax-the-rich policy would reduce the racial wealth gap even without all the specifics that Bernie is proposing.

However, you are 100% right that the racial wealth gap could never be ended without reparations.

Bernie didn't say that he didn't support reparations, he said that it is politically unfeasible. Which. is. fukking. obvious. You need 60 senators to beat a filibuster to appropriate money, the president cannot appropriate funds on his own. If Bernie told the Senate to pass reparations with the current makeup of the Senate he wouldn't even get 10 votes if that.

His answer to addressing the racial wealth gap, which he has been passionate about for 50 years, is to institute broad-based policies for education/college/trade school/jobs/health care that help all people in need because broad-based policies get the most support and have the most staying power but at the same time disproportionately help Black people, and to use what political capital he can spend to particularly address those issues where Black folk have the greatest needs (like assisting HBCUs, ending mortgage and bank discrimination, ending racist policing, and solving the mother/baby mortality issue in the Black community). If Black folk can have a fair chance at that shyt and get some extra help in the education department, then they can start building wealth and begin to close that gap.

So far as actually ending the gap though, reparations will be required. H.R. 40 is all that is politically feasible now (notice that the Republicans CONTINUE to block H.R. 40, why do you think that is?), so that is what Bernie supports now. Hopefully the hard work that many are putting in will make it more and more feasible in the future - and having a Black community on better financial footing and a clear safety net for everyone is MUCH more likely to be a situation where Black folk have a chance at reparations than a situation where regular people of all races are still desperate for jobs and health care and Black folk have virtually zero wealth to influence the political process.

I got you. We are on the same page then, because I will be voting no matter what. Can’t say yet whether it will be Dem or 3rd party in the general, but I will be voting.

Well, if you think that -- so is Medicare for all and student loans. And that's on GOD.

So, end of conversation.

It's so disrespectful -- that y'all can sit up here and cape for this anti-Black American man -- that doesn't support reparations -- cause he doesn't want too --- not cause it's not politically feasible -- yet you want us to support him.

It's laughable and sad at this point. To think a country that won't give us reparations will give EVERYONE free healthcare and wipe out student loans.

Hilarious. You fighting the wrong fight-- and that's how I know you are not on on my side -- and in the fight with me.

And I can't even waste my time reading dissertations on it today.
