I took a major L tonight. Got excited to evolve a 3000 power up level Meowth into a Persian that when I caught a Meowth that had a CP of 10 I got excited since that Meowth led me to have 50 Meowth candies. Guess what happened next?

I evolved the wrong motherfukker as a result of my anxiousness.

U transfer them for candy if u wanna get rid of the duplicates.

Click on the Pokemon you don't want and scroll down and there will be a Transfer button. And yes it's a smart thing to do because you'll get candies to evolve or power up your Pokemon that you keep.

Click the pokemon ball on ur screen then select the pokemon u want to get rid of and then scroll down until u see the transfer button.

Yes its smart because it clears ur bag of duplicates/crappy pokemons and it gives u candies to help evolve
