Please reconsider your flights - Trump firing hundreds of air traffic controllers as of today

Apparently it's not the ATC they are letting go, just the Admin, and other similar positions, we will see.

It's not the controllers. But it's the people that maintain all the equipment and radar systems that the controllers need to do their job correctly. So it still affects flight safety and integrity.

Most people are ones that work with the tech ops, maintenance, etc who are probationary employees

They aren’t going to fire trainees who are under probationary standing, that would be ridiculous……. I say that and hope the admin wouldn’t be that stupid

Yeah I haven't heard of any controllers being on the chopping block either. But again it's still not good to fire the maintainers for the ATC equipment either. But I also know a lot of federal employees that were heavy Trump folks too so some of them will get their awakening call. It's unfortunate that others are tied in with the foolishness.
