No it can't, I haven't even completed ff16 and I'm over 60 hours in.You told me “time to beat” doesn’t matter.
FF16 can be beat in the same amount of time as spider-man.
Seems people just liked spending time in that world more than spiderman.

Most games can be beat in under 30 hours or so regardless of the style of game it is.
People putting in 80+ hours in a game means they were compelled to make it that far.
If spider-man was worthy of 40-80+ hours it would show up more on these lists.
Furthermore BG3 is the longest game this year and still had minimal representation in here.

It's a shorter game than a multiplayer focused one or an RPG, my brethren. Most of us platted it (or got very close) in 40 hours.There’s at least 11 posts in here that don’t have Spider-man 2 as top 5
Surly one of the best games of the year and a “sony exclusive” should have lots more engagement. Hell it’s number 5 on your list
This is why engagement is a dumb measure as a general one. It works for MMOs, sports games, and hero shooters, not single-player games with narrative focus. Even RPGs shouldn't be judged by engagement. I'll take a short, focused, well-paced RPG like SMRPG or KotOR over your hundred hour grindfests.
