The truth of the matter is there is very little reason for people to rush out to get a pro now. Its essentially a "overclocked" console that you can only get benefits from if you have a HDR tv which most people don't unless they bought a super high end one last year or earlier this year or just bought one in the last couple months.


The Scorpio doesn't drop for a whole year, and we already know its more powerful than the neo


So yeah no the power wise and spec wise the neo doesn't have a chance. So assuming that this gen last another 4 year's the xb scropio will be the premium system.



Of course that wont matter and it'll be about nothing gaming all of a sudden again.

We don't know what's gonna happen from now till then as far as gaming and software. Or what people will do when it comes to these consoles. If u wanna know if the PS4 could survive. The question has been answered. If u wanna know which is more powerful and can run games better. Ur basically asking a question u already know the answer to. finally someone answers... so once scorpio is out, we all agree it'll be the best console for multiplats? which are the majority of the games most people play anyway.

This mess? Did I announce a 4k bluray less drive? AVSforum is about movies and media. When have you seen me talking about watching movies and streaming ever?? I probably have less than 10 posts in the flim room and maybe referenced buying a movie once that I never did.

People come here with their minds made up. Discussion rarely changes someones mind on whatever it is. This thread for example is someone who constantly complains about weak consoles, complaining about a more powerful console being weak by something coming a year later and asking obvious questions.

The shyt didn't have a Blu Ray player and was only DVD capable. Yet it had the primary install base. Wii didn't even have a DVD player and it beat out both consoles. What's gonna make or break the console will be the price of the Scorpio.

Exactly. Not only that, the Xbox One been had "media features" that PS4 didn't have and yet that didn't make a difference at all. Price, timing and marketing matters, not lack of a 4K bluray drive that nobody even really has right now. Also the weak correlation between XB1 selling no.1 in the US the past two months despite the past 3 years selling less and even more worldwide is amazing. It's like suddenly people forgot that the Xbox One was being sold $299 or less vs $349 for the PS4 and despite that it sold less this year than last year so the sales weren't even an increase YOY. 2 months it won=PS4 doomed.

PS4 was outsold by Xbox One two months back in 2014 holiday and what happend?? PS4 kept outselling it again for another year and change. Worldwide is another story.

The omission of the 4K bluray drive may seem weird but if the wider market shows that it's negligible according to their Sony pictures and market data, no amount of fan whining is going to sway them. They can shout all they want but they're deluding themselves into thinking them=everyone. The gaming community online can be such a whiny bunch. Dudes "threatening" to buy an Xbox or cancel their preorder. Same nikkas will probably buy PS4 Pro anyway.

I said the scorpio will be the better console, but Sony still have, and will continue to have, the superior exclusives, and as such the Pro will have the superior gaming experience. People are answering your question, you are just ignoring them or changing the question.
