It's USP was 4K gaming something that the original could not do and much improved/enhanced graphics and performance.
It wasn't like going from the OG to the slim where the only difference is a sleeker and smaller design.
Sony Pres said they were concerned about gamers switching over to PC.

Yeah, I know. That wasn't aimed at you, I was referring to PlayStation competing with a platform that can't be competed with.
I kind of think that's a convenient lie to justify the PS4 Pro. If I want to game on PC, no console with a few incremental upgrades is gonna sway me from doing so.
