Just watched......I don’t see kids liking this movie much. I didn’t find the characters being silly or funny enough for a kid to like, but I could be wrong. Overall, it’s a ok movie.

I said what I said and the movie and message were trash

I was really think Tina Fey character should have been played by a black child but maybe I'm looking to deep into this

Like watching a black men mentor a child that every genius and world leader said was unteachable (with some actually parallels to real life)

Watching Jamie's Cat character learning more about the people around through the curious and innocent nature of a young black soul

It’s kinda too deep for a “kids” animation movie. But still it works

the concept seemed a bit mature for children imo..

Yeah , it’s Def NOT for most kids ... you have to really know your kids to determine if they’re even able to grasp — on a conscious level — the existential elements, reincarnation themes , space time continuum , parallel/alternate universe themes in this . It’s a really heavy movie . For MOST kids under (AT LEAST) 12 , I wouldn’t recommend .

The dialogue is advanced too with a good deal of historical references .

For adults , it’s fine and inspires some introspection.

The thing about soul and not living up to what people were expecting is....

how would Disney actually make a black movie knowing 99% of the artists/writers/producers aren’t black

Y’all asking for a spike lee directed and produced type of animated film. Disney can’t do that

Plus they had to add the white girl voice and “after life” portion to appeal to whites and non blacks

I knew Disney would never make a true black animated film with Black HUMANS ever since I saw princess frog... which was a disappointment to most

Now if y’all wanna see a GOOD animated movie with black main characters done right especially when depicting a culture watch this:

This is very true. I used to watch the simpsons and south park for the animation in spite of most of the jokes and references going over my head
