Its cool. I like it but I definitely don't love it which I wanted to.

I feel like it had so much potential if the characters didn't spend so much time in the soul world etc.

If you are looking for this movie to be about blackness then you are missing the point


Just the fact that the movie is black says alot ... just like Lion King being based in Africa

Overall good movie. Wish there was more music in it though. I think most of it goes way over the heads of kids so I'm not bothered as much but the parts I didn't like.

But I really disliked the whole white woman in the black man's body thing. Am I the only one who saw it as kinda making the black man into a gay male? They way they had him moving and walking funny plus the womans voice. Again most of this will go over kids heads and they laugh at the silliness but it rubbed me the wrong way.

Movie was solid along with the underlying theme
Enjoyed sitting and watching it waaaaay more than 1984
