You're way to emotionally invested in this shyt like it's you out there on the court playing :mjlol: You're just stuck on these bullshyt ass narratives that a player has to struggle to get their championship, like Durant didn't struggle for 8 years in OKC.
2010- OKC loses to the repeat champ Lakers
2011- OKC loses to the eventual champ Mavs
2012- Loses to the Big 3 Miami champs
2013- Westbrook gets injured
2014- Lost to the eventual champs Spurs and Ibaka was injured during that series
2015- Ibaka and Durant both miss the season
2016- Lost to the 73-9 Warriors who were 58 seconds away from a repeat and who won it the year before

Durant has literally got eliminated by a team who won a championship every year of his playoff career. Is that enough struggle for your entertainment :stopitslime: Dude was sick of that shyt and left. Durant ain't thinking about you when he made his decision
Im emotionally invested when you're writing diatribes defending this fakkit. He's a fakkit. You support his move? You're a fakkit. It is what it is. Own up to it. Hell, embrace it.

This is the first time someone has adequately made me look at things through Durant's lenses.

Great post.

What you also didn't see is Glove or Rock ring chasing in the middle of their career.
Define middle. KG career can end on Friday for all we know. Who knows a players middle (pause) to be so certain that they can act like they have healthy years in front of them?

You think Penny and Grant foresaw their dominance being shortened?

It's smart when you think about it. This isn't a video game.

Nor did they run to teams that JUST BEAT THEM DOWN

Real talk...and they weren't the leaders of the teams they left.

Do people realize that Kevin Durant had been an OKC Thunder player AS LONG AS THAT TEAM HAS EXISTED?
He was the greatest player in team history easily, and shook town to go to a RIVAL squad...after choking in a series to them
when they had the lead.

Define middle.

For the purposes of this conversation, let's let "middle" = not as old as Gary Payton or Mitch Richmond
when they joined the Lakers.

Gary and Mitch were in their mid-thirties and not leaders of their teams anymore when they joined the Lakers
to "ring chase" as @Nima0614 alleges. Kevin Durant is still in his late-20s, was the leader of his squad, and in
the upper caste of great players
in the league.
