You are stuck with me buddy. Deal with it. If you want me gone, I'll personally walk you into the front office so you can plead your case of the Knicks trading me. Hope you have bail money bc they might have you arrested for Disturbing the Peace
I like his response alot  It's nice to see him take the negativity in stride.

DeAndre Jordan: How Knicks got my attention with 'cool plan'

Recent news is kinda shedding the "why would anyone want to play for the Knicks" claim that the media has been pushing since this offseason didn't end with a superstar max pick up. Star players are saying good things about the level of interest they'd had for the team. Seems like we were closer than any media "source" knew.

“I had a great meeting and great presentation,’’ Jordan said after Tuesday’s US Olympic Team mini-camp. “Phil Jackson speaks for himself. Fish [Derek Fisher] did a great job. The whole team had a plan with the organization, a plan for me that was cool. I just decided to stay with the Clippers, but it was great.

“The Knicks were definitely a team I was considering.’’

Knicks' Porzingis PF commitment scared off LaMarcus Aldridge

And another one, this kinda hurts though...

Aldridge, among 34 players at Team USA camp at UNLV this week, detailed Tuesday to the Daily News why he canceled his sitdown with Phil Jackson this summer even though he said: “I was excited to meet with them.”
“They were saying they wanted me to be more of a center to let their guy develop and I just wasn’t looking to be that,” Aldridge said. “So I was looking to play power forward, and they weren’t really interested.”

By ‘their guy,’ Aldridge was referring to fourth overall pick Porzingis, the 7-foot-3, 19-year-old Latvian slotted for time at power forward. Aldridge, who has played power forward for most of his career, would eat up the minutes at that position and perhaps hinder Porzingis’ development.

“If they’re going to tell me that I have to play center and I don’t want to play center, then of course it’s mutual after that. But before that I was excited to meet with them. I was interested,” Aldridge said. “But they wanted to have their draft pick play and I get it.”

After reading the Aldridge article, I get the feeling Phil wasn't really a fan of signing him and was basically just going through the process
him and melo dont fit at all they damn near the same player :yeshrug:

draft KP was the right choice now we need a legit scoring option next to MELO and to give KP time to develop (3 years or so) :yeshrug:

It sincerely reads to me like LMA was more interested in the Knicks than Phil was in having him on the Knicks. Or at least, Phil was only gonna take LMA if he committed to the team over his own personal needs and once LMA showed hesitance it was over.

Committing to LMA and Melo simultaneously wouldnt work...we already tried that with Amare.
