Galloway is doing a Q&A.

He answered my question actually. I asked what his biggest takeaways from playing with the rookies was, he gave a generic "their confidence and excitement to start the season" ish but I'll take that.

That opening schedule is brutal, media is gonna have a field day hating despite the strength of schedule too.

Committing to LMA and Melo simultaneously wouldnt work...we already tried that with Amare.

I think Phil may have agreed, check this out

Carmelo: Knicks had 'great' shot at Aldridge — when I talked to him

“We could’ve gotten LaMarcus,’’ Anthony said. “I believe the conversations me and him had, it was a big chance he’d end up in New York. I don’t really know where playing the center position comes in. I know when I was talking to him we had a very great shot.’’

Aldridge, whose meeting was canceled by the Knicks, The Post reported, confirmed Wednesday playing center was at issue. Anthony said Aldridge told him that “the other day,’’ after which Anthony laughed and said, “I threw my headband.’’

Because Aldridge is a natural power forward, team president Phil Jackson never tabbed him as the Knicks’ top big-man target.

...

Despite the Knicks’ 17-65 record, Anthony said he got positive feedback from free agents, though they signed no All-Stars. Next summer, the Knicks may not have enough cap space to offer a max contract to free agents such as Kevin Durant or LeBron James unless a couple of their players opt out.

“New York wasn’t too hard a sell,’’ Anthony said. “It wasn’t hard at all to none of them guys — LaMarcus, DeAndre, other guys. It wasn’t hard to sell them on New York. It wasn’t hard selling them I was doing what I had to do to get back healthy. They saw the plan, they saw the vision. It all comes down to the basketball part of it. The overall picture. Everyone has different things going on in life whether family, other businesses. They get homesick.

“Just because it wasn’t broadcast doesn’t mean I wasn’t doing my job. I was very active. I knew everything that was going on. Steve [Mills] and Phil did their job. I tried to do my job on my end.’’
