Old Brooklyn, word to @DPresidential
C - Lopez, Seraphin, Amundson
PF - O'Quinn, Williams, Porzingis
SF - Melo, Cleanthony, Lance
SG - Affalo, Sasha, Thanasis
PG - Galloway, Calderon, Jerian Grant

There is a good chance both Rookies work their way higher into the rotation early but there is enough depth in front of them that it isn't necessary they start day 1 to fill a need.

Phil was smart to sign a lot of 1 year deals too. For 2 reasons. All those guys on those deals need to play hard to earn more money either from the knicks or another team next year.

Also just like Clyde hinted that there is a real possibility Melo opts out. if Melo decides he wants out, all those 1 year deals are easily movable with him (to get salaries to match and maybe get back more) and even if they aren't moved they won't affect the cap space of a post Melo knicks team either. Also those same players could be added to other trades as well for assets if they knicks want to help a trade happen as a 3rd team.

It sucks that the knicks didn't make moves that guaranteed them becoming a playoff team this offseason because they have no pick regardless. However, based on the reality of where the knick are and what they needed Phil did really well. I'm going to repeat my prediction that this isn't the same squad the knicks have by the trade deadline. All of these 1 year deals scream "movable asset" to me.
Agree with everything but the depth chart. Unless Calderon is completely useless in TC and the preseason, I dont see him coming off the bench. I dont see Vujacic being anything more than a bench vet to help some of the young guys. I think Seraphin and Williams battle it out to see who's the 4th man in our big man rotation. Based on who's wins out will determine the starting lineup. I think Styles P is gonna be our first big off the bench. If I had to do a depth chart, it probably be:

PG - Calderon/Grant/Vujacic
SG - Afflalo/Galloway/Thanasis
SF - Melo/Cleanthony/Thomas
PF - KOQ/KP/Williams
C - RoLo/Seraphin/Amundson

Brooklynnn!!!
I like all our moves that PF battle with

Kristaps O Quinn Seraphin Williams and Amundson and Thomas all playing hard for minutes should help u.. all play hard

I think certain guys will compliment others a lot for example and be played together

Kristaps and Oquinn is solid defensively.. O Quinn can bang and Kristaps can block but say Kristaps and Williams is horrible

Grant and Early/WIlliams and Kristaps will be hella fun running together throwin alleys n shyt off the bench

Calderon will prolly be most effective with Melo and vice versa but not with running teams..

We got a lot of versatility

I expect

Calderon/Galloway/Grant/Sasha
Grant/Affalo/Sasha
Melo/WIlliams/Affalo/Early/
Kristaps/OQuinn/Williams/Amundson
Robin/Seraphin/OQuinn/Amundson

I keep hearing O'Quinn is better at Center than he is at PF. He was one of the worst in the league and defending PFs last year. If that's the case it's better if he's the first big off the bench to replace Lopez. Melo should really think about playing PF because he really opens up the offense and he has help defensively with Lopez. I don't know who would play SF with melo at the PF though.

We can go small with Calderon/Grant/Afflalo/Melo/Lopez but I don't know how that would affect the bench. Most likely melo would object to playing PF because he doesn't want to get hurt and bang down low.

I see a lot of scenarios until we get into training camp and preseason and see for ourselves who fits.

First Team
Calderon
Afflalo
Melo
O'Quinn
Lopez

Second Team
Grant
Galloway
Williams
Amundson
Seraphin

Seraphin is complete garbage. A waste of a roster spot...he does nothing well except score...sometimes. More times than not, he's missing defensive assignments, setting illegal screens (that get called), getting killed on the glass, and turning the ball over.

Bad signing.
