exactly what i expect :yeshrug:

i just dont think parson is that good. he weak on D and his handles are average :yeshrug:

would MUCH rather have a center that can play great d, grab , rebounds, and hit FT. that alone is worth 13 mil to me :yeshrug:

we overpaid for Lopez...when youre in a position like the Knicks you need to be finding secretly productive players at a fraction of the cost, which is kind of what Portland did. Someone like Ed Davis would have been ideal.

He's going to put up the exact same 15-5 :why:
Robin Lopez signs for the Knicks and now he's better than Chandler Parsons. :deadrose:

Every year I'm always like "damn, I should post in the Knicks thread more often :patrice:" but then I have to remember like 75% of the people who post in here are the NY Posts sports page target audience :heh:

Fast forward to December when Lopez is averaging like 9-7 and you calling him a bum and demanding he be traded, and Phil be fired for giving him a contract despite those numbers actually being exactly what he put up last year :wow:

Marc Gasol lite :deadmanny:
:beli: Wtf is wrong with calling him Marc gasol lite?

His numbers are lower but he plays less minutes. Dude is a defensive anchor in the paint which is what we need. Gasol wasn't leaving Memphis anyway and we get a center not at his level but close and for cheaper and y'all shytting on this move smh

Ignore that nikka he hates every move Phil makes but refuses to offer up ideas

I just gave you an idea. Phil at least has the self awareness to dump the really bad players...the Lopez contract isnt that big of a deal but wasn't really necessary either.

Who is shytting on the move? I haven't even stated my opinion.

It's a good move.

But calm all the way the down on the hyperbole.

Robin Lopez is okay. He's a decent basketball player. He'll do what he's always done, and that's be a servicable starting role player.

Chill on everything else.

"Gasol lite" just reeks of that special sort of blind aggrandizing that makes talking to some Knicks fans nauseating. Why does he have to be Gasol-lite and better than Chandler Parsons?

If Robin put up numbers this year in line with Gasol's worst...it'd be one of his best seasons as a pro. Just allow it bruh

:whoa: Didn't say anything about chandler parsons even though he had an off year.

I'm hoping Lopez gets better but I believe he's a solid player that's younger than gasol and less wear and tear. Dude only has one year were he was playing over 30 min and that year he avg 11ppg and 8rpg. calling him gasol-lite doesn't mean I'm trying to overrate the guy just saying he's good on both sides of the ball like gasol but not at his level.

we just need consistent serviceable players to snag a playoff seed. everyone just needs to play their position and let melo be the sniper that he is. if melo has to start playing everyone's position again then it's going to be a long season.

we need robin for his defensive impact on the court cause that is a huge factor in why we lost a lot of close games last year.

We could have gotten Aminu, Davis and Wright for what were basically paying Lopez. Unless you really love Robin Lopez...but I doubt it.
robin is a starter tho. we got bench players like Aaron (potentially), Oquinn D will, cally, and Galloway/CLEO how many role players do we need. we have to pay that much becase any starting center is making AT least 10 mil. less if he is a bum :yeshrug:
