Jr left during the seasonBesides Monroe, what stars did we pass up? Maybe stars want to see some semblance of competency and stability from the organization before they commit to signing to the Knicks? Maybe it's easier to build a foundation of role-players prior to landing the star? LeBron is perhaps the only player who can turn a franchise around with garbage surrounding him as teammates.
Talent does win, yes, but championship teams are only as strong as their weakest link, meaning proven role-players and a deep bench is necessary. I'm glad the Knicks aren't throwing money at players with name recognition who haven't won shyt. That method hasn't worked for the past 20 years, lets see what Phil can do before we judge.
If anything, I'm glad he got rid of that f*ckin BUM JR Smith, that in and of itself made this off-season worth it for me.
