Took you damn near the whole

:sas1:Oh, you're one of those people that think the internet checks for you?

:russ: I left the site, I came back... saw you'd responded, dispatched you. Which is why you don't respond to any of the points, just brush it off as "melo hate" ... classic fukkboi tactics.

That's how we treat children out here. Underachieving teenagers catch those summer school classes. :yeshrug:

So this meeting happened.

There's been rumored interested for the last 24 hours. It's definitely a low-risk shot. No reason not to kick the tires, hopefully he's ready to play the 4.

I'd rather Phil make a run at K.J. Mcdaniels if Phil is going after players with upside now, Feels like Derrick Williams has plateaued

I'd rather have KJ too, but he's restricted, which makes him more complicated and expensive.

I like Derrick Williams, I think he's starting to finally get "it".

Probably not.... but shyt, I'm happy to give him a chance.

I'm thinking the main reason we're going after Williams is because Phil can't get rid of Calderon.

PG Calderon/Grant
SG Afflalo/Galloway/Ledo
SF Melo/Williams/Early/Antetokoumpo
PF Williams/Porzingis/Wear
C Lopez/Labeyrie

I'm not mad at that lineup....I'd like it if we COULD replace Calderon with Beverly as well though

Melo should be selling Lebron on Calderon while they're vacationing together. :pachaha:At least he could bring the ball up court with pressure on him unlike Dellavedova.

I think that's dependent on Calderon. He was supposed to be a hell of a lot better for us offensively last season. His scoring, fg% and 3p% all took a dip. Still...I'd prefer Beverley since he's younger, can actually guard other pg's, might still be able to improve his game, and Calderon is likely on the downside of his career. I don't like that Bev hasn't played more than 56 games in a season though...

Edit: It's also dependent on how the youngs develop. A healthy Melo, Afflalo and Lopez as the base for a young team ain't a bad way to start the season. Williams can either make a case to be a valuable starter or be a placeholder til Porzingas can start. I'm not mad at either scenario there

How is Afflalo as a wing defender?

Can't wait to see some of these guys in the triangle. So Far the roster works with the offense, if KP or Grant take off as a rookie the Knicks could be in really good shape. I think KP is a pretty good shot blocker as a help defender too.

I'll take Brewer

you guys don't understand :snoop:

they won 17 with Melo sitting for about 60 games & D league/low IQ players.

If Phil can get a few more competent pros, in the East with a healthy Melo they will be playing for a playoff spot. That lineup is 35 to 40 wins in the East at the very least.

Yup, at or near .500 is enough to get you into the playoffs.
