Jesus, Aldridge won't even meet with the team.If Robin Lopez really is the best the FO can do, then trade Melo and go the full rebuild route. He'll be demanding a trade by the trade deadline anyway since the team won't even sniff the playoffs.

The Knicks just don't have any assets, outside of Porzingis and Melo. The FAs are signing with teams that have more fleshed out rosters, the Knicks can either overpay for marginal guys, try and find bargains, or trade Melo for a package. It was foolish of them to aim for guys that are going to want to play for contenders....

I know, which is why I don't expect a big return since he can essentially pick where he gets traded to, but something is better than nothing, and it's pointless to keep Melo on a roster that can't make the playoffs.
