Phil's heating up with his most recent run of moves:
Dude killed his last two trades. He moved Prigioni for Shved and two second rounders, anything positive for Prigs is a win and Shved was surprisingly good in the system.
Then he turned Tim Hardaway into the 19th pick in the draft and he flipped two seconds for one of the top draft and stash bigs in Europe.
Now he's locked up Afflalo for less than Shump got during a Free Agency where damn near everybody is being overpaid. Only two years too, it's low risk, high reward if Afflalo can be as good on catch and shoot as he has been in the past.
None of these are mind blowing home run moves, but they're smart and good value moves.

Got Affalo on a much more reasonable deal compared to the money being thrown around so far especially compared to the original number they put out

But to give a big "fukk you" to David West. Completely inappropriate move for him to say some shyt like that.
This would be an efficient offseason if we could get Lopez...but if both come (if we have the cap) I'd be on cloud nine.

West is 35. Why would he want to go to a team thats rebuilding? Obviously he wants to contend since his career is nearly over
The Afflalo deal is the best one handed out this offseason. Reasonable money, short commitment.
It is reasonable for him to want a contender.
The way it was reported...he basically shyt on the Knicks with no modesty.

They also talking to aldridge favorite Center in Lopez. LMA might have to take a mil or 2 less and the knicks would have to stretch calderon but it could fit. Phil could be trying to sell LMA on a Portland core with Melo in the East. Give all the pieces 1 and done and they would get paid next year or bounce if the experiment fails.
It might not work but its a better offer than he got from the Lakers and the suns
