I'm not a fan of tanking but in our case it makes sense for the long term. What good is winning 30-35 games going to do? We did that so many times from 2000-2010 and we never got even a top 5 pick. There's nothing worse in the NBA than consistently being a 7-8 seed or just barely missing the playoffs.

phil may not like it, and people can argue the pros and cons about tanking all day long (and apparently have been) but the team will likely keep losing regardless.

they have literally one consistently above average player. i hope im wrong tho. would love to see them go on a hot streak but im not expecting it after what ive seen.

Honestly, let Melo take all the time he needs. Rushing him back in a season where we most likely aren't gonna make the playoffs makes no sense. He's older now, so chances of re-aggravation are higher, and we got him for 4 more years- for better or for worse- so handle him with kid gloves.

Deep inside, Melo is disappointed of his team.I know he wants to be more vocal of his teammates' horrendous performance and the overrated Triangle offense. He has nothing to say and doesn't have the room to deliver harsh criticism of his team after accepting his off-season lucrative contract. Melo knows damn well the Knicks don't have the chance to compete for a title, and have no way to enter the playoffs this season. Melo didnt sign up to win this season, this is true. Phil has a plan. Melo knows what it is. You and I dont. These guys probably already know who's coming here in 2015.
