no point of getting rid of jr until next year
he's the only guard we have on our team besides melo who can create his own shot
and we saw how big he played in the clevland game
hes a knuckle head but we cant trade him just to trade him
ppl put too much emphasis on his attitude sometimes
the kid can play

idk man the rumor was watson was part of the trade. Watson game fits in great with what the triangle wants from the PG position. He is a bigger PG who plays defense and can shoot the 3. If the knicks made that deal with the hope to keep him long term. I wouldn't be mad at them. Larkin is gone and Pablo isn't going to last forever.

However, Stat..brehs...he needs to be signed for 7-10 a year to come off the bench brehs.

I know. ..I know...but as a bench role player, he's productive and we will have trouble trying to find additional role players while trying to concentrate on improving our starting line up (scouting will be resourced to Marc Gasol, LMA, and other potential starters.)

:why:

Unless the cap is going up a ridiculous amount, you don't pay 10 mill a year for non two-way player.

Nothing I've read has made it seem like the Knicks are even interested in Watson. I've read that his contract would need to be thrown in to make it work... But nothing to indicate that he would be a part of the Knicks future. I agree with the thought process but if that were in the plan it would be JR for Watson.
i would trade 4 kmart

Why?

:what:

Cap Room

Phil is getting a Big 3 next year and use the bird rights to go over the Tax threshold to keep Shumpert and Larkin
According to an article I read, the Knicks can't offer Larkin anything more than the 1.9 they declined on Friday.

Damn, I'm torn the idea of trading JR.

He's already shown that when everything goes to shyt and the shot clock is winding down, his ability to get off a semi decent shot will be very valuable as we figure out the Triangle.

But the inconsistency and low quality professionalism is something I want to move away from.

If he could just get his mind right him and Melo could possibly roll through the eastern conference.

I say keep him, only because we have Phil here. He just might be the only dude left in the NBA that can get to him.

Well the cap is gonna go up, and there have already been non two way players that got paid more than that
True, but these are younger more productive one-way players. Their getting paid for future production. And the cap ain't going up that much for us to throw 10 mill at Amare when we can get similar production for much cheaper value.

If the Knicks don't see JR fitting into their future, they should unload him for whatever expiring they can get for him.

If it's somebody like Cope, who I like rooting for, and can shoot and spread the floor a little... hell, then better for it.

If Phil thinks he can fix/mold JR, then fine, keep him. 6 Mil+ isn't a huge hit. But who knows if this deal is even a thing that exists.

I personally don't know how he could fit into the longterm/triangle plans. He's never shown the ability to rein his game/style in with any kind of consistency. But Phil is the Gawd right now. So we'll wait and see what he's doing.

But I'm not really interested in arguing over JR, if you don't understand what he is, at this point... then you're always going to believe he can be great.

I agree 100% with this.

I've been thinking...I've always been a guy who's loves rooting for players that I like.

I really loved Cope's story and the resilience he's shown trying to make it to the NBA.

So I would not be upset in the late trade.

Chris Copeland? :childplease:

Watson? I assume yall mean Earl Watson. The black japanese lookin dude? I didn't know he was even still in the league.

:whoa: on these cats for JR.

JR isn't even breaking the bank like that. Him and Phil just need to spend a saturday just the 2 of em, a pound of OG GD Kush and just air it all out. :camby: @ this trade.
