Thats very low actually. It used to be well over 80 percent in the early 80s which that to me is weird. If im not mistaken, the crime rate in philly at that time was higher than it is now.

No, this is the worst year in Philly history.

On pace for 545 murders with a population of 1.6M.

Philadelphia was a bit more populous and less murderous in the 80’s than today. Early 80‘s were actually kinda tame/safe for Philly standards.

Thats why im saying the whole crime wave thing is manufactured. Crime is up dont get me wrong but its not like the 70s , 80s or 90s crime rates. The media has been pushing this crime wave thing too. They just are scaring people into wanting to be overpoliced which is what the government wants. More oversight over peoples lives. They got cameras on every corner. Gunshot detectors. Informants. Corrupt cops. Social media and they still dont know who did what. They had a higher clearance rate with less resources 40 years ago. That makes no sense.

Criminal justice is a business. The government needs crime and criminals in order to stay in existence.
