Even if they do alot of the big Multiplayer games like Fortnite, Warzone and Apex you can still play for free. You can't play these games on Xbox unless you have a gold memebership.

You can get online multiplayer for all games on PC for free so if you want to play Microsoft's games but value not really playing for online multi there's an avenue for you that covers both bases.

I quit paying for Gold like a year ago. I'd rather just use the PlayStation for console online multi. I only really get single player multiplats or Microsoft games on their console at this point. Hell to be honest I haven't played my Xbox Series X since a week after it came out. It wasn't worth playing for Gold and PSN and since PlayStation is my primary I went with that.

1st of all this only really affecting those who bought xbl gold yearly for 60 bucks, they are the ones taking the hug hit. Which I assume probably isn't a ton of people but enough....

Everyone else you are paying 1 dollar more a month or a few more dollars ever 3 months.

And if you have ultimate this doesn't effect you at all



With that said this is a reduction in options, so I'm 100 percent against it. It's a lame way to try and force people into Gamepass ultimate instead of just offering some kind of incentive for gold users to upgrade to ultimate.



However!

Ever single online service I've used has went up double the price since I started using them, from hulu being free and netflix being 7.99. to what they are now.

Either they go up in price or strip features away to the point it's absolutely pointless for the lowest tier to be paid for monthly outside of it being mentally pleasing for the consumer.

1st my off my 1st post was directed at Sony Stan's, if that's not you don't worry about it.

A price doubling is a price doubling doesn't matter if it's slowly over a couple years or all at once out the blue one is just more digestible... Especially if that's what I'll be consistently paying in the long run.


I'll use nextflix as an example of a company that price has literally doubled and they took features away and put them behind higher paywalls.

You either paid the same price for the same thing or less.... Unless you upgraded to the next tier.

Crunchyroll did this, hulu and Spotify...

I just wish Sony would offer their own GP equivalent (and no not PSNow)

PS Now is dope all they would have to do is revamp it. Plus PS5 has a thing called PS Plus Collection where they give u a bunch of games for free. U get the games of the month. Plus EA Play is on PlayStation as well. They can expand on any of these options.
