A bullet hasn't been dodged. Microsoft's objective is still to get every Xbox owner on Gamepass and really for the $15 a month price. Beyond that they want to get non-Xbox owners on it too.
People are being silly about all this. If you buy 2 Microsoft 1st party games a year and an Xbox Live Gold sub you've saved no money vs buying Gamepass Ultimate. In fact you actually get less doing it any other way. If Xbox is your primary game console why wouldn't you have Gamepass Ultimate?
2 first party Microsoft titles = $120 Xbox Live Gold = $60. Total cost $180.
All Xbox 1st party games on Gamepass + Xbox Live Gold = $15 a month or $180.
Xbox 1st party titles could be jumping to $70 so 2 of them could = $140 and $60 for Gold means you get less for more @ $200 vs $180.

Exactly. Most bosses and thorough nikkas have the game pass ultimate anyways. For just $9/month its a steal. I buy multiple games a year, so for the price of 2 standard games, i get hundreds? WTF?Just look at this thread.

Yup. Its mainly Sony stans bytching because they don't know the immense value of Gamepass. Gamepass is literally all you need to have access to a multitude of games, including all the latest first part releases. Its the best deal in gaming by a long shot.
Any idiot buying a $700 system to play an 8year old game supposedly remasterd and DLC of a 4 year old game with "ray tracing" has no right to worry about how other gamers spend their money.
We all know full well the next Sony game worth a damn wont release till 2023. Meanwhile MS has piff all year for its faithful. FOH
That's what I'm trying to understand. If you primarily game on an Xbox it doesn't really make sense to not have Gamepass Unlimited. You have to spend more money to not have it. If you buy more than 2 Microsoft games a year you come out at a loss.
