No because it is period. Its a lazy excuse because the lazy thing as I asked someone else is that all y'all on the opposite are saying such because your broke. That's lazy IMO. I've said it before if most people socioeconomic status isn't where it needs to be that's on them. People all of a sudden when it comes to blacks its about us collectively no it isn't. Its about us as individuals first and those who have similar views link up just like in many other facets of life. We can disagree on that but that's just how I feel and was raised regarding not letting circumstances gender my development. It worked for people around me and even others I didn't know until later so that's how I roll and you roll how you do and whatever happens.
I think what you're missing here is not everyone has that chance and being
a hard worker does not exactly translate to being wealthy.
There are kids born into families with a great amount of wealth amassed while blacks weren't even allowed to vote
at the same time there are diligent hardworking black upstanding black citizens who barely make a livable wage.
You're also forgetting that the vast majority of people who are born in a particular tax bracket DO NOT make it out of it.
What you're saying doesn't necessarily equate to the reality of someone whose family has yet to send
someone off to college.
What you feel doesn't necessarily translate to the reality that some children are faced with inadequate teachers,
who're given inadequate teaching resources and students who struggle to succeed only to deal with being labeled as
lazy, ignorant's with no aspirations in life.
Your opinions can't deal with the facts of being poor and it's correlation to school success rates and economic mobility.
I'm one inclined to believe in working hard and doing what you can to achieve your goals but
I'm also not fool enough to believe in the decidedly simplistic view of the world that comes with
talk of "bootstraps".
Im talking about my nationality.
"I'm half african"
This is like saying "I'm half british".
Matter of fact this is the first time
I've seen..this...ever
