IDK where imma be tomorrow, let alone answering that question about Embiid if he doesn't win a title.

I just never found Dwight funny and always thought he was corny.
I'm not necessarily talking about winning a title.

But let's just take this for instance, say KAT turns into the best big in the league, 3-4 years from now, and Embiid fails to live up to the hype and is an afterthought amongst big men, but he still continued to fire verbal jabs at KAT about his play, do you think you'd still find it just as funny as you do now?

I have no idea.

I mean it shouldn't be funny now by your logic since he hasn't won anything.

People still find/found Charles Barkley funny when he never won a title.

Meanwhile Shaq aint been funny since he started winning titles to me.

Its about comedic timing for me than what they do on the court.

That's only HALF of my argument. The other half is hope. Because there's hope around him becoming the next great big - that's what folks are placing their faith in. As soon as that hope dissipates for a player, folks start turning on that player. Especially given today's climate which has created this now, now, now behavior.

You get a window of hope (the one Embiid's in right now), and then eventually you're expected to win, and if you don't, you better prepare for folks to turn on you.

Which is exactly my point.

If Embiid is looked at as a career-loser, what opportunities will he have to display this "comedic timing", aside from laughing at himself?

Fam, Embiid is funny and is blessed with comic timing and social media to display that. He was funny even when he was injured.

Dwight was never funny to me.

@Gil Scott-Heroin

I see the heel turn..:sas1:
:whoa:

I pray to the Post Gods every day that Embiid stays healthy.

So that @Malta has no excuse for when Embiid fails to live up to the hype. :troll:

In all seriousness, I hope all these young bigs (Embiid, KAT, Porzingis, Markkanen etc) become the best players they possibly can. Embiid is a once-in-a-lifetime type talent, it'd be a shame if we looked back at his career as a what if.

I still ain't happy about him continuing to look for fouls, instead of using his skillset either. Tell @Malta I said it. :pacspit:

He was "funny" when he was injured, because there was/is still hope around his play. You're most probably not gonna find the same humor funny if he's injured in his 10th season, and still hasn't proven himself. Let's forget about you for a second.

Do you think folks will still find him funny if he displays the same type of humor, but is looked at as a career-loser, five years from now?

You not understanding

Embiid is funny cuz he is funny. The same way Marçin Gortat is funny on social media. They are actually funny people. I’m only speaking for me.

I don’t care about what others think because I never laughed with Dwight when everyone else was.
