Here's a list of JRPGS I played and loved last gen. Note that these aren't like Persona yet I liked them. I just wasn't "moved" as they were.

Valkyria Chronicles
Resonance of Fate
Tales of Vesperia

I didn't even try out Ni No Kuni yet and I wanted to play this other game

Trust me, I'm not saying those other games suck, I just sometimes want a specific type of game.

It's like with anime too. After watching Toradora, I was ruined because other animes similar to it weren't up to snuff. Golden Time was meh even though it was from the same company. I ended up just saying f it and watching dramas. Found a completely different show I liked that wasn't anime. There's other "great" anime shows but none of them were as good as Toradora imo.

But back to the point, the only positive about this delay is i'll have more things to keep my mind off of it. Best believe when it drops i'm dropping w/e I'm playing for it.

Have you played Xenoblade Chronicles? Game was amazing and on par with Persona 4. You got a gaming PC you could emulate it on Dolphin and see for yourself.

The bottom line is there's plenty of stuff to play. It's too bad this was delayed but you're lying to yourself if you didn't see this coming from a mile away.

I read on GAF that this game will be more episodic in nature than the last game's plot was. Not sure I like that as much.

I'd take Pet Girl and Golden Time over Toradora. I didn't really care for the leads in Toradora as much. I also like the fact that Golden Time is college age rather than high school. Koko from GT is better than any character in Toradora too. She was crazy but at the same time there was this sanity she had. She was very aware of everything going on. Sometimes the way she'd break stuff down to Banri was crazy.

Meanwhile Taiga was a standard tsundere loli Rie Kugimiya played character. Had almost the same personality as Louise, Shana, Nagi, ect.

Eri was the best character in Toradora and got shafted.

I definitely liked Shiina, Aayoma and Misaki over Taiga. Those characters were hilarious. Golden Time characters were so-so. I liked Koko but her alone didn't make me want to rewatch the show.

The blue haired chick that liked the main character. She was more interesting to me than the lead female. There's usually one like that in every anime.

I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. It's still a few games down the list

Xenoblade is overrated and not even close to any of the recent personas.

You tripping. Xenoblade is one of the greatest JRPGs I've played in the post PS1 era. I'd let Persona 4 slide but Xenoblade is way better than Persona 3.

Persona 3 was kind of ass. Nothing really happened for like the first 3-4 months in-game and then each moon shadow boss was just anti-climatic. It felt like a routine at some point. I don't even want to talk about Tartarus. I mainly enjoyed it overall for the story and a few good boss battles as well as the ending. Other than that P4G was way better.
