no doubt breh. yeah joe was totally different in real life, a true actor's actor. like where he tells nicky "if it werent for sergei here you and ya cousin would be some cadaverous muthafukkas", i dont know for a fact but i'd bet that was him going off the cuff. i also suspect they worked him into their original story more than they had planned, because he was an acting coach and casting consultant, but his work just shined through.

he had a lot more influence on that show than most people are aware of. dude is responsible for the kids in season 4 stealing the show like that. those were his proteges.

In a thread with a bunch of terrible choices, I'll throw in my unpopular opinion: Brother Mouzone. I don't know if it was so much a bad acting but more I didn't like the character. Always struck me as corny.

I agree. Mouzone came across as over the top and Hollywood-y. A very jarring addition to a show that was so grounded and realistic. At the same time though if he never existed we would have never had that classic exchange with Omar.

I only noticed Stringers accent come out twice on the show.

In season 1 when he got mad at the nikkas at the Print Shop about how to run the shop like a real business. He yelled real loud some shyt like "Then thats how we going to do it" and shyt came out super British

The other scene is you can hear bits and pieces of his accent when he wrestles Avon to the ground in Season 3 when talking about how D would of snitched on the team.

I hated Scott the journalist, he seemed like a cornball. It's amazing how one can hate a character of a TV-show, but you just can't help it.
