Yes, sonys “SUPPORT” studio aids 3rd party developers making games published by SIE.
The Initiative is the support studio for Crystal Dynamics, not a real AAA studio. I wouldn’t even call them a support studio since they aren’t actively developing the game

Even better imagine co developing and automatically assuming the larger studio is doing all the work.
Initially my whole point was studios co develop and get a lot of help and always have and that it doesn't mean things are bad. Especially if it starts out like that.
Now it's spun into... Well they aren't doing hardly anything so it's not co developed it's basically just one sided

Also, your examples are false equivalences. The Initiative fell apart. CD was brought in to pick up the pieces.
